Job Summary

This role as an Environmental Engineer is based at Germany's largest research pharmaceutical company in Ingelheim. You will play a crucial part in ensuring legal compliance, focusing heavily on immission control and environmental management systems. Day-to-day tasks involve supporting the creation of permit applications and notifications under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) and checking the relevance of requirements, particularly those related to the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED). A key responsibility includes data management, reporting environmental metrics internally and externally, and collaborating on climate protection initiatives, such as determining and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Candidates must hold a Master's or Diploma degree in Chemistry, Process Engineering, or a related natural science field, coupled with initial professional experience in immission control law and strong foundational knowledge of broader environmental regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant environmental compliance efforts within a major pharmaceutical research environment.
