Job Summary
This role involves leading a maintenance and reliability engineering (RME) team in a logistics center, ensuring the continuous operation and optimization of advanced material handling and production systems. The Senior RME Technician is responsible for overseeing shift operations, guaranteeing the team has the necessary tools, and ensuring strict adherence to the highest safety and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include performing visual inspections, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance, while actively troubleshooting complex equipment issues to minimize operational downtime. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in engineering or a recognized technical trade, coupled with proven experience in team leadership and automation maintenance, particularly with conveyor systems. This position offers the opportunity to implement system improvements across the EU network and requires working in shift models, including nights and weekends, at the Hoppegarten (Berlin/Brandenburg) location.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training (IHK or HWK recognized), OR a successfully completed university degree in an engineering field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related), OR a recognized foreign university degree (BA, B. Sc., MA, M. Sc., Dipl.-Ing.). Additionally, a qualification as an Industrial Master Craftsman, Trade Master Craftsman, or State Certified/Recognized Technician, or several years of relevant professional experience is required.
Experience
- Practical experience in leading teams
- Experience in the automation and maintenance of conveyor systems
- Professional experience in supervising external contractors (Preferred)
- Professional experience using computerized maintenance management systems (Preferred)
