Job Summary
The City of Wunstorf is seeking a full-time Engineer for Technical Systems and Building Safety within the Facility Management department. This crucial role involves ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements related to building security and operator obligations across municipal properties. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments for technical systems, managing safety inspections, developing implementation concepts for safety compliance, and overseeing external contractors and internal coordination (planning, tendering, construction supervision, cost control). The ideal candidate must possess a technical degree in fields like Facility Management or Building Services Engineering, coupled with strong professional experience in operational safety obligations and CAFM software. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical university or university of applied sciences degree in Facility Management, Building Services Engineering, Safety Technology, or Electrical Engineering. Degrees in Architecture or Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) are also accepted if combined with proven professional experience and/or additional qualifications in ensuring building-specific operator obligations.
Experience
- Professional experience in ensuring operational safety obligations for technical systems and building safety
- Experience in project support for construction measures (preferred)
- Experience in public procurement procedures (VOB and VOL)
- Experience with FM software (CAFM Spartacus, REG-IS, GLT, AVA, CAD AEC Collection etc.)
Languages
Additional
- Driver's license Class B is required. Additional qualification as a Safety and Health Coordinator (SiGeKo) is desirable. The position requires navigating spaces that may not be barrier-free or easily accessible.
