Job Summary

This highly technical and hands-on role within the Carrier Technology Management (CTM) team focuses on shaping and managing the iPhone's cellular feature roadmap in collaboration with global mobile network operators (MNOs). The engineer will utilize deep technical expertise spanning the entire cellular ecosystem, from chipsets and RF hardware to base stations and network infrastructure, operating equally well in both hardware and software domains. Day-to-day tasks involve ingesting MNO technical requirements, tracking network capability trajectories, and ensuring the iPhone's feature set aligns with evolving network standards. Success requires outstanding written and verbal communication skills to represent MNO interests internally to Apple's leadership and engineering teams, as well as representing Apple's roadmap externally. Candidates must be proficient in data manipulation using spreadsheets, relational databases, and scripting languages like Unix shell or Python, utilizing this data to create comprehensive technical reports and presentations.
