Job Summary
This Research Specialist R&D role, based in Schkopau, Germany, offers the opportunity to shape sustainable future mobility by working for a global leader in synthetic rubber production. The core focus involves simulating complex chemical reactions, developing kinetic and reactor models for polymerization processes, and utilizing standard software tools like Predici, ASPEN, GProms, and Fluent for process simulation. A key responsibility is developing efficient computational models to facilitate the transfer and scale-up of new synthetic rubber types from laboratory settings to pilot and full production plants. Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering, coupled with multiple years of relevant professional experience in the chemical industry, and proven expertise in statistical experimental design (DoE) and project leadership. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma, Master) in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Technical Chemistry. Completed PhD in the mentioned area is advantageous.
Experience
- Multiple years of relevant professional experience in the Chemical Industry
- Experience in planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments
- Experience leading projects for process and procedural optimization, from feasibility study through to Process Design Package
- Experience applying solid project management principles within multifunctional teams
