Job Summary
This role involves establishing, implementing, and permanently operating a systematic, software-supported Municipal Energy Management system for the City of Hof's properties, which include approximately 120 buildings like schools, administrative offices, and cultural facilities. The Engineer will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and reporting energy consumption data, conducting building inspections, performing weakness analyses on building envelopes and technical equipment, and developing concrete, economically sound measures for energy efficiency and savings. A key component of the job is optimizing existing technical systems, including building automation, and collaborating with and training facility users. Candidates must possess a university degree in engineering (e.g., Supply Technology, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Energy Technology) and strong knowledge of technical building equipment, building physics, and building automation systems. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diplom-Ingenieur FH, Bachelor, or Master) in Supply Technology, Electrical Engineering, Building Physics, Civil Engineering, Energy Technology, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Architecture with relevant additional qualifications.
Experience
- Professional experience in energy data management or energy consulting (desirable)
- Knowledge of administrative processes and structures in the public sector (desirable)
- Experience in applying for and settling funding measures for energy saving and optimization (desirable)

Additional
- Must possess a Class B driving license and be willing to use a private vehicle for work against cost reimbursement. The position is initially temporary until November 30, 2027, with the option for permanent employment.
