Job Summary
This role is an excellent opportunity for a Bachelor's student specializing in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics to conduct a thesis focused on integrating Machine Learning with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming Machine Learning algorithms using Python and linking these modern methods with data derived from complex 3D CFD simulations of compressors. A key objective is the analysis and development of meta-models to efficiently map complex flow processes, ultimately reducing the computational effort required for numerical optimization while maintaining high model accuracy. This position requires a strong interest in data-driven optimization, a foundational understanding of numerical simulation, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics, along with practical experience in Python and relevant ML libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch. This is a crucial project contributing to high-tech applications within the nuclear energy sector, focusing on efficient, low-carbon energy solutions.
