Job Summary
This role involves supporting the interdisciplinary Ethics Committee of the Westphalia-Lippe Medical Association, which evaluates the ethical and legal aspects of biomedical research involving human subjects, including clinical trials of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The Referent will primarily be responsible for the formal, legal, and medical preparation of study applications for committee review, implementing resolutions, and assessing the qualifications of investigators and study sites. A key aspect of the job is advising applicants on procedural matters and ensuring adequate application submission. The ideal candidate must possess a scientific university degree in life sciences (Biology, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Public Health), Health Economics, or Law, and be able to quickly assimilate new medical and legal frameworks related to clinical studies. The position requires strong organizational skills, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills, with a focus on process optimization and implementing digital solutions.

Education
Completed scientific university degree (Master, University Diploma, or equivalent) in Life Sciences (Biology, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Public Health), Health Economics, or Law
Experience
- Professional experience in clinical studies and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) (desirable)
- Professional experience in scientific operations or administration (desirable)
- Experience in coordinating diverse procedures and tasks
- Experience in handling electronic documents and database systems
