Job Summary

This role as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, based in Karlsruhe, involves critical laboratory work focused on the independent sampling and comprehensive analysis of various materials, including fly ash, water, and gypsum. Daily responsibilities include performing instrumental analysis using tools such as sieve machines, laser granulometers, and ion chromatographs, alongside established wet chemical methods. A key function is carrying out accredited moisture determinations for coal samples, often utilizing thermogravimetry, and ensuring all quality assurance measures comply with accreditation standards. Candidates must possess a completed apprenticeship as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or CTA and ideally bring initial professional experience in these analytical fields. Success requires a meticulous and highly independent working style, coupled with proficiency in evaluating measurement results using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This position is initially offered via temporary employment with the option for permanent takeover.
