Job Summary
This role involves providing essential 1st-Level technical support for a leading provider in cloud and hosting infrastructure, based in Frankfurt am Main with hybrid remote work options. The specialist will be responsible for the installation and configuration of various operating systems, including Linux and Windows Server, and managing fundamental data center hardware like switches, firewalls, and servers. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues independently, implementing and customizing software solutions such as Plesk, DirectAdmin, and cPanel, and creating technical documentation and reports in both German and English. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with foundational knowledge in network technology and server architecture who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and is ready to work in shifts.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or comparable qualification (Advantageous), LPIC-1 Certification (Advantageous)
Experience
- Professional experience in handling common IT hardware (Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Servers)
- Experience with independent diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software problems
- Willingness to work in shifts
