Job Summary

This Strategic Project Manager role is crucial for supporting the economic development and industrial resilience of the Canton of Neuchâtel, within the Service de l’économie (NECO). You will be instrumental in coordinating the cantonal economic support system, particularly focusing on technology transfer, R&D, export, and diversification initiatives aimed at assisting businesses impacted by economic crises. Day-to-day, you will analyze and evaluate support requests, development, innovation, or implantation projects from local companies, ensuring they align with the canton's strategic objectives. A key aspect of the role involves piloting strategic multidisciplinary projects, facilitating connections between businesses and academic/economic stakeholders, and representing NECO in various forums. This position requires a confirmed managerial background, excellent project management skills, and the professionalism and diplomacy needed to interact credibly with diverse internal and external stakeholders while contributing actively to the service's internal coordination.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in a technical field.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of confirmed managerial experience within an industrial company.
  • Professional experience in managing complex and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Excellent understanding of the regional economic fabric and economic development instruments.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain professional networks and foster collaborations.

Additional

  • This is a 2-year fixed-term contract (CDD). Requires flexibility regarding working hours and involves travel within Switzerland and occasionally abroad. The position can be filled between 80% and 100% workload.
