Job Summary
This role is centered on the development and maintenance of advanced GIS applications and Web-GIS visualizations for the specialized service provider within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. The developer will be responsible for full-stack implementation, utilizing Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot for robust backend services, and Typescript and React for dynamic frontend interfaces, integrating key GIS libraries like Leaflet and Cesium. A core part of the job involves managing and processing spatial data across SQL and NoSQL databases, and ensuring operational excellence by contributing to containerization, deployment, and management in cloud environments using Docker and Kubernetes, specifically leveraging Google Cloud. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or Geography with a GIS specialization, coupled with practical experience in Web-GIS and DevOps. Success requires strong collaboration within an agile team, a passion for modern software trends, and excellent German and English skills for technical documentation.

Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Geography with a focus on GIS, comparable training, or comparable qualifications.
Experience
- Practical experience in Web-GIS development
- Practical experience with Cloud/DevOps using container technologies
- Practical experience with spatial databases and data processing (ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Experience in the intersection of classic GIS development and modern Cloud-Native approaches (Advantageous)
