Job Summary
This role as an Application Management Specialist in Gießen involves providing comprehensive 2nd level support and maintenance for complex specialized applications, primarily focusing on the "Schweb. NET" system within the Hessian state administration. Day-to-day duties include user administration, system installation, maintenance, documentation, and rigorous update and release management, including testing and final approval. A critical aspect is serving as the primary interface between technical service providers, developers, and internal specialist departments, handling all operational incidents and supporting 1st level teams. Candidates must possess a university degree in IT (such as Computer Science or Business Informatics) or equivalent professional IT certifications/vocational training, coupled with at least two years of relevant application management experience. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in IT, preferably in Digital Administration, Business Informatics, or Computer Science; OR completed advanced training as an Operative Professional or Bachelor Professional in IT; OR relevant completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration or Application Development, IT System Management Clerk, IT System Electronics Technician).
