Job Summary

This role involves taking responsibility for the complete accounting cycle for a dynamic, international law firm located in Munich. The primary focus is on preparing monthly and annual financial statements according to the German Commercial Code (HGB), managing provisions and accruals, and handling comprehensive tax duties including preparing declarations for VAT, payroll tax, income tax, and corporate tax, coordinating closely with tax consultants. A key aspect of the role is leading projects aimed at optimizing accounting processes and implementing new accounting regulations, alongside establishing and maintaining internal control systems to mitigate financial risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive 'hands-on' mentality, and proven expertise in HGB annual closing procedures, ideally gained within a partnership structure. Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Tax Specialist (Steuerfachangestellte) and ongoing or completed further training as a Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or Tax Specialist (Steuerfachwirt). Alternatively, a degree in Economics with a focus on Accounting.

Experience
