Job Summary
This role involves providing essential First-Level Support within the Office for Information and Communication Technology, focusing on maintaining operational efficiency for staff across Bad Salzungen and Eisenach. Day-to-day tasks include handling immediate technical issues, setting up and cabling IT and communication equipment (PCs, monitors, printers, phones), performing troubleshooting, and documenting procedures. A key responsibility is managing printing and copying technology, including administering print servers and management software. You will also assist with the procurement, initial setup, and inventory of new hardware and mobile devices. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant technical qualification (e.g., IT Specialist or IT System Electronics Technician) or a commercial background combined with extensive relevant professional experience. Strong communication skills, adaptability to diverse user needs, and a high degree of personal responsibility are crucial for success in this dynamic support environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration or Application Development), or Electronics Technician (Information and System Technology), or IT System Electronics Technician, or equivalent qualification. Alternatively, a completed commercial apprenticeship of at least 3 years.
Experience
- Long-term relevant professional experience in IT support or system administration (alternative requirement)
- Professional experience in hardware trends (PC, notebook, mobile devices)

- Class B (3) driving license required. Willingness to use private vehicle for official purposes (reimbursed by employer) is desirable. Position is initially limited to two years with an option for permanent employment.
