Job Summary
The Kleve District Administration is seeking an Engineer specializing in Environmental Technology, Process Engineering, or Civil Engineering to join the Building and Environment Department as a Lower Immission Control Authority. This role is crucial for ensuring regulatory compliance regarding environmental protection and emissions. Day-to-day responsibilities include the approval and monitoring of facilities requiring permits under immission control law, overseeing non-permitted facilities, and drafting official statements for construction projects and municipal planning. The position requires a degree in a relevant engineering or natural science field, professional experience in commercial immission control, and strong knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations. This is a temporary, part-time position (19-23 hours/week) offering flexible working hours and the opportunity to contribute to public environmental safety within a supportive administrative structure.
Required Skills
Education
Completed University Degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Environmental Technology, Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a comparable natural science discipline.
Experience
- Professional experience in commercial immission control
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Administrative experience (preferred)
- Further training or qualifications in immission control (preferred)
