Job Summary

This role involves working as a Function Developer, focusing specifically on Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) within advanced Driver Assistance Systems (DAS). The professional will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the ACC function, spanning from the initial concept phase through to the Start of Production (SOP). Daily tasks include defining the function scope and performance objectives, creating detailed requirements and test cases, and rigorously validating the functions through testing on test benches, in vehicles, or using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulations. Success requires a strong background in electrical engineering, vehicle technology, or mechatronics, coupled with initial experience in DAS, particularly longitudinal control. The position demands close collaboration with development teams, architects, and clients, making strong communication and structured project management skills essential for driving future-oriented engineering projects.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, Mechatronics, or comparable field

Experience

  • Initial experience with Driver Assistance Systems (ideally ACC/Longitudinal Control)
  • Professional experience in function development from concept phase to SOP
  • Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, sensor fusion, or control algorithms
  • Understanding of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ASPICE (beneficial)
