Job Summary

This is a demanding leadership role overseeing the strategic and organizational direction of the Construction and Environment Division for the city of Immenstadt im Allgäu. The Head of Division will be responsible for managing departments including Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Property Management, and Building Administration, as well as external operational facilities and forestry. Key responsibilities involve taking overall charge of planning, steering, and implementing municipal construction and infrastructure projects, leading urban development initiatives, and managing planning and coordination with external engineering and planning firms. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Urban Planning, coupled with several years of relevant professional and leadership experience, ideally within a municipal administration. Strong knowledge of German construction and planning law (HOAI, VOB) and procurement procedures is essential, along with excellent organizational and negotiation skills to successfully steer a diverse business area.
