Job Summary

This critical role involves acting as the Control Center Operator (Betriebsführer) for the OsthessenNetz GmbH, ensuring the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted supply of electricity, natural gas, and drinking water across the network area. Day-to-day responsibilities include the continuous monitoring of supply processes, both during normal operation and during disturbances. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing process parameters, adhering to schedules and limits, and coordinating all necessary measures, including dispatching emergency response personnel, to isolate and resolve network faults. The role requires strong analytical skills to manage complex situations, ensuring economic efficiency and high supply quality, while working within a full-time continuous shift system. This is a permanent position offering a stable work environment within the utility sector.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Electrician for Operational Technology (Elektroniker für Betriebstechnik) combined with further qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or State-Certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker) in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in the energy or utility sector
  • Foundational knowledge in the areas of electricity, gas, and water supply
  • Experience in operating industry-specific software, especially the PSIprins control system
  • Experience working with GIS
  • Ideally, authorization to issue switching instructions (Schaltanweisungsberechtigt)
