Job Summary

This role requires an expert in embedded systems architecture to design, define, and document the complete system architecture for new System-on-Chip (SoC) Embedded platforms, focusing heavily on real-time requirements, performance, and scalability. The Architect will be responsible for low-level software design, including drivers, middleware, and RTOS integration using modern C++ standards (C++17/20) on resource-constrained microcontrollers. A crucial part of the job involves defining the hardware architecture within FPGAs using VHDL, managing interfaces, data paths, and hardware accelerators that interact closely with the embedded software. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of microcontroller programming (ARM, RISC-V), VHDL, and experience defining architectural guidelines and verification strategies for both software and hardware domains. This is a full-time, two-year limited contract position based in Berlin, offering 60% remote work.
