Job Summary
This critical leadership role involves managing the Treasury Division within the City Administration's Finance and Strategic Controlling department in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The Department Manager will lead a team of 10 employees and oversee the municipality's entire financial cycle. Key responsibilities include the planning, preparation, and execution monitoring of the city's budget, along with the preparation of annual and consolidated financial statements. The successful candidate will also manage central tax issues concerning VAT and corporate tax, handle municipal liquidity and financing instruments, and oversee grant management. Applicants must possess strong leadership skills, deep expertise in municipal double-entry bookkeeping (Doppik), and the required German public administration qualifications (3rd entry level or equivalent administrative certifications), demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and structured, assertive leadership.

Education
Qualification for the 3rd entry level of the Administration and Finance field (A10/A12 equivalent) OR Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/Angestelltenprüfung II)
Experience
- Professional experience in municipal finance or public administration
- Experience in personnel management and leadership responsibility
- Proven experience in budget planning and financial statement preparation
- Experience handling complex tax and financing issues within a public sector context
