Job Summary

This role involves hands-on laboratory work, focusing on molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemical methods. The successful candidate will perform tasks such as DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, cloning, qPCR, transfection, protein extraction, and Western Blot. They will also prepare samples for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Mass Spectrometry (MS), coordinating with core facilities. A key part of the role is the establishment, cultivation, and maintenance of mammalian cell lines, requiring sterile cell culture techniques. Beyond experimental work, the position includes significant involvement in laboratory organization, including ordering, stock management, buffer and media preparation, and equipment maintenance. The assistant will also support the onboarding of new team members, contribute to the establishment of new experimental methods, and participate in a biochemistry practical course for medical students.
