Job Summary
This critical role as an Admissions Planning Coordinator involves managing the complete patient intake and scheduling process within a healthcare setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include the preliminary review of medical findings, checking and processing cost guarantees from payers, and performing accurate patient master data entry and appointment scheduling. The coordinator is also responsible for preparing and dispatching rehabilitation applications and ensuring patient files are complete and prepared for admission. Success in this position requires excellent communication skills for frequent telephone contact and correspondence with hospitals, insurance providers, and patients. Candidates must possess commercial training, ideally within the healthcare sector, and demonstrate proficiency in IT applications, a high sense of responsibility, and a structured, team-oriented work ethic.
