Job Summary
This role is for an agile and data-driven Data Scientist within the Strategic Marketing Data & Analytics Team, supporting five PENNY national companies across Europe. The core mission is to leverage extensive data assets to answer strategic business questions, ranging from optimizing pricing strategies to developing personalized customer recommendations. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for developing and implementing complex Machine Learning pipelines and models for forecasting, recommendation, and classification, directly influencing market steering and customer experience improvements. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, expertise in Python and SQL, and experience with software development methodologies like Git and CI/CD. This position offers significant creative freedom, short decision paths, and the opportunity to drive innovative, high-impact projects in an international environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or Economics with a quantitative focus
Experience
- Several years of experience in a comparable Data Scientist role
- Professional experience developing and implementing complex models and Machine Learning pipelines
- Practical experience with Python and SQL libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib)
- Experience applying software development methods (Git, CI/CD)
