Job Summary

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Friedrichshafen, supporting the Criminal Investigation Department 5 (Cybercrime, Digital Traces) of the Ravensburg Police Headquarters. The specialist will focus on the preparation and analysis of complex data derived from cybercrime investigations, primarily utilizing the specialized VeRA BW (Baden-Württemberg research and analysis platform) and other police standard applications. Core duties include generating court-proof analysis reports, presenting findings in legal settings, and actively developing and maintaining bespoke IT solutions in collaboration with state police technology teams. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Science, possess strong programming proficiency in Python and Java, and demonstrate expertise in database, network technology, and the full software development lifecycle. This role requires high analytical skills, strong initiative, and excellent communication abilities to train basic users and coordinate analytical capabilities within the department.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Professional knowledge in data preparation, merging, and analysis
  • Experience in development, commissioning, testing, and documentation of software
  • Experience with Visual Basic for Application (VBA)
