Job Summary

This role involves working independently on critical material investigations for engine components, encompassing both purchased parts and in-house manufacturing. The specialist will utilize advanced techniques including optical microscopy, metallography, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to assess material conditions. A core responsibility is the release and approval of components by ensuring compliance with material specifications, thereby supporting quality assurance and process monitoring across the organization. The position acts as the central point of contact for material complaints involving the hardening shop, goods receiving, licensing, and production departments. Furthermore, the specialist will perform mobile metallography (both internal and external), manage the laboratory's chemicals and etching solutions, and oversee the maintenance and calibration of essential equipment. Candidates must possess a completed relevant technical education or 2-3 years of professional experience in materials testing, coupled with deep knowledge of testing procedures, material structures, and heat treatment for ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
