Job Summary
This role is for a skilled PLC Automation Specialist focused on the development, adaptation, and optimization of control programs for specialized machinery and industrial plants. Key responsibilities include hands-on PLC programming using systems such as Siemens TIA Portal, S7, and Beckhoff TwinCAT, alongside the crucial task of programming and commissioning industrial robots (including ROKAE, ABB, and KUKA). The specialist will also be responsible for creating visualizations and operator interfaces, supporting the entire lifecycle from prototype construction and internal acceptance tests to on-site commissioning at customer locations. Collaboration with design, electrical engineering, and project management teams is essential for developing new machine concepts and ensuring compliance with technical standards. Candidates must possess a degree or vocational training in Automation Technology or Electrical Engineering, fundamental knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, pneumatics, and safety concepts, and a willingness to travel occasionally for customer support.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or university degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
Experience
- Fundamental knowledge in PLC programming
- Ideal experience with robot systems
- Advantageous experience in special machine construction, plant engineering, or industrial automation
