Job Summary
The University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join their research group in developmental neurobiology and pediatric neurooncology. The successful candidate will engage in an exciting project investigating the molecular mechanisms of medulloblastoma, the most common malignant brain tumor in children, with a focus on cerebellar developmental mechanisms to identify new therapeutic targets. This role involves utilizing modern technologies such as single-cell RNA sequencing and DNA methylation profiling, alongside various in vitro and in vivo methods. The position offers a dynamic and supportive team environment, detailed introduction, and appropriate supervision, making it an excellent opportunity for a dedicated scientist passionate about molecular research and pediatric oncology.
Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree or equivalent in Natural Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related subject
Experience
- Strong interest in molecular science and an ambitious project
- Knowledge of basic methods of molecular biology
- Experience with omics data (ideally)
- Ability to prepare, present, and publish scientific data
