Job Summary

This role seeks an ambitious Materials Testing Technician responsible for conducting diverse, often non-standardized, materials science analyses and evaluations. Day-to-day tasks include actively supporting the development and description of targeted analytical procedures, assisting with prioritized test planning, including experimental setup, and defining necessary work steps. A core function involves taking ownership of result evaluation, controlling for plausibility, compiling comprehensive test reports, and ensuring the upkeep of testing facilities. The technician will also independently perform and document maintenance and repair tasks. Success requires close collaboration with production, development, and internal clients, offering expert advice. The ideal candidate holds completed training as a Materials Tester or Metallographer with specialized qualifications, possesses strong foundational knowledge in metrology and materials science, and is prepared for shift and weekend work.
