Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced Measurement Technician specializing in fiber optic systems, focusing on ensuring the quality and functionality of Lightwave (LWL) routes. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing and evaluating LWL route measurements using OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) bi-directionally at 1310/1550 nm, creating detailed measurement protocols, and documenting results. The technician will independently plan measurement tasks through the change process, coordinate schedules with internal teams and external customers, and manage the commissioning and acceptance of new fiber optic installations. Key qualifications include a background in telecommunications or electrical engineering and initial practical experience in optical transmission technology.
