Job Summary
This leadership role involves managing the Digital Services and Data Management section within the IT and Digital Services Department of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, documenting, and administering research-oriented data services and system-integrative library services, including repository services, digital long-term archiving, and the advancement of Open Source software solutions. Key responsibilities also include implementing workflow automation tools, release management, designing and implementing robust backup solutions, and overseeing server and network administration. This position requires a strong technical background in IT, proven experience in software development (especially web frameworks), and knowledge of IT infrastructure and security standards, offering a challenging, full-time, and permanent position within the public service sector in Hannover.

Completed university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Computer Science or comparable
Experience
- Minimum three years of relevant practical experience in the IT sector
- Professional experience in software development (especially Web-Frameworks)
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and server automation

- The position is located in Hannover, Germany. Full-time work (39.8 hours/week) is required, though part-time is conditionally suitable. This is a permanent position in the public service sector (EG 13 TV-L classification).
