Job Summary

This role seeks an IT Specialist for Network and System Control to join an IT financial service provider in Nuremberg. The core responsibilities involve the 3-shift monitoring and control of critical infrastructure, including z/OS, SAN, Tape, and Storage systems, utilizing central tools like z/OS System Automation, Mainview, and Splunk. You will be responsible for independent incident handling following ITIL standards, performing high-stakes actions such as IPLs, LPAR management, Power-On-Resets, and application restarts. A key part of the job is coordinating with external vendors during disruptions and assisting with planned changes. Key qualifications include a completed IT education (such as IT Specialist for System Integration) or equivalent experience, profound knowledge of z/OS, JES2, TSO/ISPF, and JCL, alongside practical experience in ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management. This is a full-time, permanent contract position offering the chance for direct takeover by the client.
