Job Summary

This role supports the Facility Management and building technology departments at the htw saar (Saarland University of Applied Sciences). The core responsibility involves managing public procurement processes, including the creation of tenders and drafting detailed service specifications and descriptions for facility management services (e.g., pump unit renewal, cleaning services) and smaller construction projects, in close coordination with the university's procurement office. Furthermore, the specialist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining specialized operator software used for recurring maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems and associated monitoring equipment. Candidates must combine a strong administrative background, ideally in public administration, with fundamental technical understanding. This is a full-time position, initially limited to 2 years, offering competitive public sector compensation (TV-L E 8) within a dynamic, internationally oriented higher education environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed and recognized training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte) with Administrative Course I, or comparable professional training with a technical background.

Experience
