Job Summary
This is a key leadership opportunity for a Head of Human Resources Department to manage the central HR functions for the Evangelical Lutheran Church Association in Hildesheim. You will lead a team of 14 staff, overseeing comprehensive personnel administration for approximately 100 employees across various church institutions. A core responsibility involves clarifying fundamental questions of labor and service law, coordinating with legal counsel, and serving as the primary contact for employee representation matters. Strategically, you will be tasked with developing and implementing strategies for personnel recruitment, development, and staffing needs assessment, alongside managing staff planning and providing oversight to two finance and planning committees. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Administration, Law, or Business/Economics, possesses high social competence, strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities. Experience
- Professional experience in leadership/management of a department
- Professional experience in personnel administration and management
- Professional experience applying labor and service law in an organizational context
- Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies (recruitment, development, and staffing needs assessment)
- Experience coordinating legal representation and handling employee representation matters
