Job Summary

Join a dynamic interdisciplinary team as a Support Specialist for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems. In this role, you will be the primary contact for users, focusing on enhancing and evolving support structures for HPC services. Your day-to-day will involve clarifying and processing customer inquiries, coordinating with experts to resolve tickets, improving user documentation, and delivering introductory training sessions. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with experience supporting users of HPC clusters, offering a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of scientific computing, AI, and machine learning within a leading national HPC center. Required Skills

Education

Desirable: University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Natural Sciences

Experience

  • Experience with service-oriented user support
  • Experience with Linux operating system
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python or Shell)
  • Experience in supporting users utilizing High-Performance Computing clusters
  • Desirable: Experience in managing HPC systems
  • Desirable: Experience working with HPC systems
  • Desirable: Experience in an HPC application area (e.g., Earth system sciences, life sciences, or Computational Fluid Dynamics)
