Job Summary

This role is for a passionate Linux System Engineer dedicated to modernizing and optimizing IT landscapes for public administration in Oldenburg. As part of the team, you will be responsible for the deployment and operation of central technical procedures, ensuring high availability, performance, and robust backup/recovery capabilities, whether in the KDO data center or the cloud. Day-to-day tasks include the installation, configuration, optimization, maintenance, and monitoring of software and server components, alongside server and application administration. A key part of the job involves 2nd Level Support, analyzing and troubleshooting hardware and software faults in collaboration with internal and external IT departments. This position offers the chance to work on exciting projects, utilize automation technologies like Ansible, and contribute to making public administration smarter through secure and flexible IT solutions. Strong Linux expertise and excellent German language skills are essential for success.
