Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Konstanz District Office in achieving climate neutrality for its properties by serving as the Energy Management Officer within the Building Management department. The successful candidate, working part-time (60%), will be responsible for developing the strategic roadmap to climate neutrality, expanding and operating the existing energy management system (including data collection, monthly controlling, and annual reporting for committees), and ensuring economic viability of energy savings. Key tasks include participating in energy optimization and renovation projects, managing photovoltaic (PV) systems, developing new systems like battery storage, and conducting training to raise user awareness regarding energy consumption. The position requires an engineering degree in a relevant field and fundamental experience in building services, control technology, and establishing an energy management system (DIN 50001).

Required Skills

Education

Completed Engineering Degree (B.Eng. or Dipl.-Ing.) in Energy Technology, Supply Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Fundamental knowledge in the operation of building services systems
  • Fundamental knowledge in control, regulation, and building automation technology
  • Experience in setting up and operating an energy management system (DIN 50001)
  • Ideally, initial practical experience in project and network collaboration
