Job Summary
This specialized role focuses on driving business growth for CNC machines used in the hard metal (HM) carbide inserts industry across Asia and Europe. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing relationships with existing and potential customers, particularly focusing on automated powder presses, 5-axis CNC machining centers, and inspection machines. A key component of the role involves extensive international travel, especially to China, for sales, marketing, and technical training. Furthermore, the manager will coordinate commercial negotiations with European machine partners, ensuring customer needs are met, and identifying premium used CNC grinding machines (like EWAG, Walter, ANCA) on the European market. Success requires a deep technical understanding of pressing, HSC machining, and grinding processes, coupled with excellent business acumen to establish a functional business model in this niche sector.
Required Skills
Education
Mechanical Engineering diploma preferably
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical or commercial roles (with technical background) related to new or used CNC Power Press and 5-Axis CNC machines for cemented carbide cutting tools and inserts
- Deep understanding of the HM carbide inserts production chain
- Professional experience in building a functional business model
Languages
Additional
- Must be fit and willing to travel regularly to Asia (especially China) and sometimes within Europe. Fluency in Chinese is also mandatory.
