Job Summary

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is seeking an experienced IT Specialist for System Integration to join the Technical Facility Management team in the Southern region (Oberpfaffenhofen, Augsburg, Weilheim). This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of complex research facilities, including the Space Control Center. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the technical support and maintenance of telecommunication and IT infrastructure at the Oberpfaffenhofen site, as well as the selection, setup, and maintenance of audio and video presentation/communication systems. The ideal candidate must have a completed vocational training in System Integration, demonstrable professional experience, and expertise in administering Linux and Windows environments, virtualization, and network cabling. This position offers a friendly, collaborative environment, the opportunity to work on challenging, future-oriented infrastructure projects, and the possibility of permanent employment after an initial two-year contract.
