Job Summary

This role involves supporting the German Parliament's administration by ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of complex communication technology, specifically focusing on broadband and satellite systems. Key daily tasks include operating and maintaining broadband communication technology (BK-Technik), configuring digital satellite reception and transmission systems, and managing UNIX and WINDOWS-based streaming infrastructure. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, Information Electronics Technician, or in a recognized apprenticeship in Information Technology/Electronics. Applicable for civil servants of the intermediate technical service who meet the above requirements.

Experience

  • Current, multi-year professional experience in the operation of BK head-end technology including server administration (UNIX and WINDOWS)
  • Professional experience with satellite reception systems and digital broadband communication technology
  • Professional experience with digital video and audio transmission procedures
  • Professional experience with digital broadband communication distribution technology
  • Experience using a ticketing system (e.g., ARS REMEDY or comparable)
