Job Summary

This full-time Accountant role, based in Schweinfurt within a mid-sized financial services company, involves comprehensive management of daily financial operations. Key responsibilities include reviewing, posting, and booking all ongoing business transactions, preparing mandatory VAT pre-registrations, and managing the cash book and petty cash. The role also requires the independent creation of annual interest certificates and the processing of travel expense reports. A crucial part of the job involves regulatory reporting to the Central Tax Office, such as the Summary Report (ZM) and capital gains tax reports, alongside performing detailed account reconciliations (e.g., transfer and commission accounts). Furthermore, the Accountant will actively assist in preparing annual financial statements, including forming provisions and analyzing expense and income accounts. Ideal candidates possess commercial vocational training with an accounting focus and practical experience in accounts payable or general financial accounting, coupled with a structured, careful, and self-reliant working style and a strong affinity for numbers.
