Job Summary
This role is based at a regional IT system house, focusing on providing comprehensive IT infrastructure support to small and medium-sized enterprises. The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle administration of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, GPOs, and user management. Key daily tasks involve the independent setup, installation, and configuration of new servers, alongside the continuous administration and maintenance of complex client networks (handling DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switch configurations). A significant part of the job involves analyzing and resolving server and network disturbances, as well as managing and maintaining firewalls, ideally Sophos XGS. The position requires a technically proficient individual with a completed IT apprenticeship and a solution-oriented approach, offering a permanent, full-time contract with opportunities for professional development and high levels of autonomy.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT apprenticeship (e.g., Specialist IT Consultant for System Integration) or comparable qualification
Experience
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPOs
- Experience in independent implementation of server installations
- Solid understanding of network technology and structures
- Knowledge in handling firewalls
