Job Summary
This role, based in Frankfurt, involves acting as a Data Researcher focused on business cycles, markets, and statistics for the ZVEI, the German Electrical and Digital Industry Association. The primary responsibilities include independently managing, maintaining, and developing the electronic market statistics collection system ("eStatistik"). Day-to-day tasks involve researching and preparing complex business cycle, structural, and foreign trade data relevant to the electrical and digital industries, contributing to production forecasts, and generating monthly economic reports. The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Economics or Statistics, possess strong analytical skills, and have proven experience in statistical data processing and analysis using software like R. This position offers a chance to contribute significantly to shaping the future of the All-Electric-Society while engaging with high-level economic and industrial policy questions and serving as a key contact point for member companies and the press.
Required Skills
Education
Successful university degree, preferably in Economics (Macroeconomics/Econometrics focus) or Statistics, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in statistical data collection, processing, and analysis
- Experience in managing and developing electronic data collection systems
- Experience supporting committees and representing organizational interests in external working groups
