Job Summary

This role is ideal for an engineering professional, including recent graduates, interested in rail infrastructure expansion and control and safety technology. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for planning control and safety technology systems within the national rail network, adhering to HOAI service phases. Day-to-day tasks involve calculating expected costs, developing technical prerequisites for smooth construction execution, and independently coordinating project-related tasks. A key component is supporting communication with clients and specialist planners from other trades, offering expert advice, and providing technical recommendations to ensure efficient and targeted project implementation. Candidates should possess a technical degree in a relevant field and be open to continuous professional development, with occasional nationwide travel required.

Required Skills

Education

Technical university degree (Dipl.-Ing., M.Eng., B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Rail Vehicle Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in electrical engineering (Desirable)
  • Professional experience in planning control and safety technology systems (Desirable)
  • Experience with CAD systems and specialized programs like ProSig (Desirable)
