Job Summary
The Controls Engineer plays a pivotal role in every project phase within this leading global intralogistics solutions provider. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing software for PLC/microprocessors and drive technology, conducting in-house testing using simulation tools, and performing PLC commissioning directly at customer sites. A key aspect of the role involves executing coupling and integration tests, as well as overseeing availability, volume, and acceptance tests on construction sites. The ideal candidate holds a Technician degree or Bachelor's in Automation Technology or Electrical Engineering, possesses fundamental knowledge in electrical engineering, bus systems (like PROFINET), and drive technology, and is experienced in programming with Siemens TIA Portal, preferably SCL. This position requires a high degree of accountability, structured work methods, and significant worldwide travel readiness (at least 50%), making it ideal for a proactive engineer seeking high-impact, international project involvement.
