Job Summary

This role supports the engineering technical center of the Institute for Hazardous Substance Research (IGF) in Dortmund, focusing on the management and utilization of specialized measuring equipment. The Measurement Technician will be responsible for organizing and ensuring the quality of measuring devices, both for internal use and for lending to third parties. Key day-to-day tasks include responsibly conducting technical tests on various test benches and providing essential support to measurement engineers during hazardous substance measurement campaigns. Candidates must be either a state-certified technician or hold a successfully completed technical/craft apprenticeship (e.g., precision mechanic) combined with several years of relevant professional experience. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, systematic task execution, excellent communication, and a high degree of team and cooperation ability. This is an attractive, unlimited contract position within the public service sector, offering flexible working arrangements.
