Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Project Manager specializing in High-Voltage Substations to lead challenging engineering projects across Europe, including the UK and Switzerland. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the detailed planning and design of high-voltage cable systems for both onshore and offshore applications. The manager will be responsible for performing complex thermal, mechanical, and electromagnetic calculations, documenting technical designs, and collaborating closely with CAD technicians to develop cable route layouts and trench cross-sections. A critical focus is ensuring strict adherence to local norms and technical requirements while maintaining defined budget and time frames. The ideal candidate holds a completed degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering and possesses several years of professional experience in designing HV transmission systems (HVAC, HVDC). Success requires deep knowledge of HV substations, relevant standards, and excellent communication skills in both German (Fluent) and English (Intermediate), coupled with a willingness for occasional business travel to international sites like Basel and London.
