Job Summary

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity within a unique environment, focusing on the maintenance, support, and modification of flight simulators, including associated computer and peripheral equipment. The Simulator Maintenance Engineer will be crucial in ensuring the continuous availability and operational readiness of training devices by performing complex fault diagnosis and resolution in collaboration with other engineers. A core part of the job involves ongoing updates to enhance the performance and accuracy of the simulators, requiring close cooperation with various departments to seamlessly integrate the systems into the training environment. The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification, such as an Automation Specialist or Electronics Specialist degree, coupled with at least five years of professional experience, and possesses strong knowledge of electronics, microelectronics, IT, and complex system troubleshooting. Experience with C++/C programming and Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems is required, alongside good written and spoken English skills.

Required Skills

Education

Completed apprenticeship as an Automation Specialist (EFZ), Electronics Specialist (EFZ), or comparable technical qualification. Technical advanced training at the HF (Higher Technical College) level is desirable.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable technical field
  • Professional experience in electronics, microelectronics, and IT
  • Professional experience in fault diagnosis and resolution of complex systems
  • Experience in the maintenance of aircraft systems (Avionics) (Desired)
