Job Summary

This role involves establishing, steering, and continuously developing the Information Security Management System (ISMS) at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. The manager will work closely with IT Operations, Data Protection, and Auditing teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, advising the university management on the security posture and reporting transparently on the security situation. Key responsibilities include coordinating security measures and audits, managing emergency and crisis processes, and handling security incidents. A critical component of the job is fostering a sustainable security culture through training, awareness campaigns, and collaborative consultation, requiring strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and clear communication to drive information security as a cooperative, cross-sectional task across the institution.
