Job Summary

This crucial role involves serving as the Policy Officer within the Enforcement Body for Digital Accessibility, situated under the Commissioner for the Affairs of People with Disabilities in the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs (MGS) in Brandenburg. The primary focus is ensuring public bodies comply with digital accessibility standards for websites and mobile applications (BbgBITV). Day-to-day tasks include initiating reviews of public digital services, providing expert consultation to public entities to remedy identified defects, and driving improvements in digital accessibility. The officer will also support the preparation of reports for the State Parliament and the Federal Ministry, and provide technical input on legislative procedures concerning digitalization and disability policy. Success requires a relevant Master's degree (e.g., IT, Engineering, Social, or Administrative Sciences), proven experience with web technologies, and a strong commitment to accessibility issues, combined with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Master, Diploma, or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Engineering, Social Sciences, or Administrative Sciences; or qualification for the higher general administrative service.

Experience

  • Experience in the area of accessibility of websites and mobile applications
  • Professional experience in handling web technologies and mobile applications
  • Professional experience in public administration (advantageous)
